Suofu NP series micro magnetic gear pumps feature leak-free operation, low flow rate, high pressure, a wide operating temperature range, and the ability to handle medium-to-low viscosity fluids as well as gas-liquid two-phase flows. They are capable of dry running, possess strong self-priming ability, and their flow rate is minimally affected by pressure changes, with control accuracy reaching up to ±0.1%.
The performance characteristics of the NP series have led to the widespread application of these micro pumps in numerous small-scale cooling and refrigeration systems. NP series micro magnetic gear pump products have been successfully utilized as refrigeration/cooling pumps in traditional fluorocarbon systems such as R134a, R410, R141b, R245fa, R1233zd, and various 3M fluorinated liquids.
However, since fluorocarbons are prone to vaporization and prolonged high-speed dry running is detrimental to the pump's long-term service life, we recommend that customers pay attention to the following points and implement corresponding system configurations:
Ensure a subcooling of approximately 2°C for the liquid in front of the pump inlet.
The fluid velocity in the pipeline before the pump should not exceed 1.5 m/s, and is ideally controlled at around 1 m/s.
If there is a 90° elbow in the pipeline before the pump, try to maximize the bend radius (R angle).
A 400-mesh filter should be installed before the pump. The filter's nominal flow rate should be 1.5 to 2 times the pump's flow rate.
It is recommended to start the pump at a low speed, around 500 rpm. Increase the pump speed only after the gas at the pump inlet has been completely vented.
It is advisable to install a three-way valve at the pump outlet connected to a return line. Utilize monitoring of the pump motor's current to determine if a significant amount of gas is present at the pump inlet. If the motor current does not reach the threshold, open the three-way valve at the pump outlet to allow the gas to circulate back to the liquid storage tank in front of the pump. Close the three-way valve to enter the main circulation loop only after the current exceeds the threshold, and then increase the motor speed to the operating speed.
