FAQ

  • Is Suofu a manufacturer or a trading company?

Shanghai Suofu Industrial Co., Ltd., established in 2010, is a professional manufacturer integrating the R&D, production, and sales of precision gear pumps. We possess our own R&D team and production base. Our products are widely used in numerous fields such as liquid cooling, medical, semiconductor, energy, and chemical industries, serving over 2,000 clients.
Our core product is the micro magnetic gear pump, characterized by a wide flow range (1-65,000 ml/min), high metering accuracy (up to 0.1%), and broad liquid viscosity compatibility (0.2 - 10,000 cps), making it suitable for various demanding environments. The full product series has obtained CE, ISO, RoHS, and REACH certifications, ensuring both quality and reliability.
  • What is your warranty and after-sales service policy?

All products come with a 12-month warranty period starting from the delivery date. In case of malfunction, please contact our sales engineer for after-sales details.
  • What is the delivery time for your pumps?

    1. Standard gear pumps are delivered within 2 weeks.
    2. For custom pumps, please contact our sales engineer.
    3. Some motors are in stock; for urgent orders, please consult our sales engineer.
  • What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

No MOQ requirement. Pricing is adjusted progressively based on order quantity.
  • What cooperation models do you offer?

International cooperation primarily involves developing agents/distributors in countries and regions. The company does not engage in direct sales; inquiries will be forwarded to agents.

Countries and regions without established agents will be served primarily through direct sales.
  • Do you provide OEM/ODM services?

    Yes, we provide OEM/ODM services.
  • What payment methods are accepted?

T/T (Telegraphic Transfer). Upon signing the purchase contract, for deliveries within 7 days, 100% payment upfront can effectively shorten the lead time; for deliveries within 1-2 months, a 30% deposit is required, with the balance payable before shipment.
  • Which logistics methods are used for shipping?

International shipments typically use FedEx or DHL.
  • What is a micro magnetic gear pump? How does it work?

A micro magnetic gear pump is a compact positive displacement pump. Its core lies in the magnetic coupling: the motor drives the external magnet rotor, which, via magnetic force coupling, synchronously rotates the internal magnet rotor and the drive gear sealed within the pump housing, thereby driving the driven gear in meshing transmission. This design achieves completely leak-free sealing.
  • What are the main advantages of micro magnetic gear pumps compared to traditional pumps?

    1) Zero Leakage: Magnetic drive eliminates shaft seal leakage points.
    2) High Pressure: Capable of generating differential pressures up to 20 bar at low flows.
    3) Long Service Life: Non-contact torque transmission minimizes wear.
    4) Dry Run Tolerance: Special materials and design allow tolerance to short-term dry running.
    5) Easy Precise Control: Linear relationship between flow rate and rotational speed.
  • What are the technical advantages of the NP Series micro magnetic gear pumps?

Wide flow range (0.1-26 ml/rev), high working pressure (20-40 Bar), broad operating temperature range (-120°C to 150°C), extended dry running capability (>100 hours), long service life (>20,000 hours), and strong self-priming capability.
  • What are the advantages of magnetic drive compared to traditional shaft seals?

No dynamic seals, hence no risk of leakage; reduced wear and long service life; low noise; easy disassembly and maintenance; completely sealed pump body prevents potential contamination and adapts to more working conditions.
  • How do I determine the required flow rate for my pump?

The flow rate depends on the rotational speed and differential pressure. You need to provide the required operating flow range, outlet pressure, and liquid viscosity. We will select the suitable model based on performance curves. Please note, the pump's actual flow rate is the theoretical flow rate minus internal leakage, which increases with higher differential pressure.
  • How is the "Outlet Pressure" of the pump determined?

The gear pump generates a "Differential Pressure". Outlet Pressure = Inlet Pressure + Pump Generated Differential Pressure. It is essential to ensure that "Inlet Pressure + Required Differential Pressure" is less than the pump's Maximum Allowable Working Pressure.
  • How does liquid viscosity affect pump performance?

    1) Flow Rate: High-viscosity liquids reduce internal leakage; under the same speed and differential pressure, the actual output flow is greater than for water.
    2) Power: High-viscosity liquids increase rotational resistance, requiring a larger motor power, and it is advisable to reduce the speed to prevent cavitation and excessive energy consumption.
    3) Temperature Rise: High shear may cause temperature-sensitive liquids to degrade.
  • Can the pump handle corrosive liquids (e.g., acid or alkali solutions)?

Yes. Our products consist of multiple components. Each component can be configured with suitable acid/alkali-resistant materials based on specific working condition requirements, enabling effective resistance to specific acid or alkali media.
  • Can I use a gear pump if my liquid contains particulate matter?

Yes, but extreme caution is required. Due to the extremely small internal clearances (tens of microns), particles can easily cause jamming or wear. We strongly recommend installing a 300-400 mesh filter at the pump inlet. The filter itself must be compatible with the liquid and have sufficient flow area to prevent excessive pressure drop.
  • Are there limitations on the operating temperature? What is the maximum temperature it can withstand?

The standard operating temperature range is -90°C to 150°C. Non-standard customization can extend this range to -120°C to 150°C.
  • Which chemicals can the gear pump handle?

It can handle dialysate, liquid urea, anhydrous alcohol, ethylene glycol, aviation kerosene, silicone oil, lubricating oil, transformer oil, ammonia water, sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, ozone and other disinfectants, Freon, fluorides, and other media.
Our products consist of multiple components. Each component can be configured with suitable specialized materials resistant to specific acids or alkalis based on working condition requirements. Please consult sales for specific material compatibility.
  • What are the requirements for inlet and outlet piping during pump installation?

Inlet Pipe: Should be short and straight, with a diameter not smaller than the pump port. Liquid flow velocity should preferably not exceed 1.5 m/s.
Outlet Pipe: Appropriately increasing the pipe diameter can save energy. The pipeline should be equipped with a safety valve to prevent damage from dead-head pressure.
